School Uniform
The wearing of colour coded school uniform is fundamental to the creation of a unity of spirit in the school. There are then no distinctions of wealth or background between the children; the uniform is attractive, practical and reasonably priced. There is no doubt that personal appearance does affect standards of behaviour and, therefore, academic performance. All items of the uniform are available from Rawcliffe’s or Natasha’s in Dewsbury Town Centre .

Technology & Creative Design

Jewellery
- Pupils may wear one ring but rings with a protruding setting are a danger to others and must not be worn.
- For safety reasons drop earrings must not be worn.
- A sleeper or stud is permissible if the ear has been pierced.
- All other forms of piercing are not considered appropriate for a school environment and pupils must adjust their appearance accordingly before coming to school.
Hair
- The colouring of hair with unnatural tones is not allowed and neither should patterns be shaved into hair.
Pupils who fail to follow the above guidelines on jewellery will be asked to remove the offending items and place them in the charge of a member of staff. Removed items can then be collected at the end of the school day.
The school will have the final say on suitability.
